Thank you for visiting Ghand in-Nanna's B&B site!
We both met in 2012 and along the way realised we had a common dream to fulfil and make happen. So in 2015 we bought the house, which actually belonged to Maria’s family and started work on a major renovation project, our dream. The huge scale of the work was not anticipated but we managed to pull through. Juggling full time jobs, giving up our weekends, coordinating workers on site, design, furnishings and much more was not easy, but today we can say WE DID IT!!
Maria currently works in the Beauty Industry, being a qualified skin care therapist and also running the training section on a major skincare brand as well as teaching beauty therapist qualification at a local Beauty Academy. Maria’s past background is in hospitality, having worked a period of time with a major Overseas Tour Operator working on their Ski programme in a chalet located in the Dolomites, Italy. She is a delightful hostess with a few stories up her sleeve that you will surely be entertained with.
Sue is a Physiotherapist, specialising in physiotherapy for animals, following the completion of a Masters degree delivered at the Univeristy of Queensland. Since then she has been working both with people and animals, as a rehabilitation specialist, in the treatment or the prevention of injury. This is actually how they both met when Maria's dog Powder had injured a ligament in her knee joint and Sue treated Powder at the time with rehab. From then on it’s been a wonderful journey. Sue also has a great hidden talent, DIY! She is very creative and you will see a lot of her works done around the house which one cannot help but admire.
We are very passionate in what we do and have put the same amount of energy into this house and we hope that you will visit us to experience the warmth and comfort offered. We look forward to being your hosts and meeting you.
See you soon
